There is a college for everyone.

That's what I believe and that's the approach I take with every student.  The most important factor in college success is finding a college or university that is the right "fit".  That's why I'm here - to help students find the place where they will thrive.

What makes College Navigation different?

College Navigation is not an impersonal, online service.  Everything I do for a student stems from face to face conversation and discussion.

I am the only Educational Consultant on the Executive Board of the Pacific Northwest Association for College Admission Counseling. This professional organization covers five states and its 900 members represent all aspects of the college admission process.

I am also happy to work with Seniors.  Some consultants limit their practice to younger students, but I am glad to work with Seniors - no matter where they are in the college search or application process.

Why use an educational consultant?

Unfortunately, though they would very much like to help each student with every aspect of the college application process, many high school counselors have so much on their plates that they are unable to give every student the individualized attention they may need. That's where I come in. From your initial college search to filling out applications to the day you make your final decision, I'll be right there to guide you through the process and cheer you on.  I'll also help you make your high school counselor's job easier by working with you to provide them with everything they need to be a strong advocate for you.

But there are other reasons to use an educational consultant as well.  Some students need a little help identifying what they might like to study.  Others have special challenges, such as learning differences, which may require more in-depth research to help find the best college or program for them.  Still others may be more interested in doing a "gap year" or deferring admission.  Whatever the need may be, I am there to provide resources, insight, and support.
