11th Grade Consultation Packages
Comprehensive Consultation Package
(Services begin with first appointment and conclude June 30th following the student’s high school graduation.)
Services will include:
- Meeting regularly with the student and family to discuss college planning.
- Serving as a mentor to the young people I work with to encourage them to make intelligent choices.
- Being available via phone or e-mail for assistance as needed.
- Helping students plan for their educational testing (ACT/SAT/SAT Subject Tests).
- Assisting students in identifying possible career interests
- Generating a list of recommended colleges with sufficient information for comparison purposes, including contact information.
- Providing information and resources about college “fit” and how to evaluate schools.
- Offering guidance and coaching about presenting the student's best self to colleges via applications, campus visits and/or interviews.
- Providing information about making the most of college fairs.
- Helping the student plan campus visits and debrief upon their return.
- Review of college applications and essays.
- Offering information about scholarships and financial aid.
- Helping the student process information and choices related to college admission and provide information about the transition to college.
College List Package
Services will include
- Meeting with student & parent to discuss student academic profile & criteria to be used in the development of the college list.
- Discussing the results of student questionnaires used to help determine criteria.
- Researching colleges & compile a list with relevant information/links for each school
- Meeting with student and parent to present & discuss college list.
- Providing an additional hour of follow up consultation to discuss questions or process.
Additional hours may be purchased on a per hour and space available basis. Comprehensive package clients have first priority in scheduling.
Junior “Getting Started” Package (Available January- April)
Four 1 hour meetings with the student during Junior year to discuss college planning, including:
- Evaluation of transcript & recommendations for senior schedule
- Helping students plan for their educational testing (ACT/SAT/SAT Subject tests).
- Helping students develop a personal timeline to keep themselves on track throughout the application process
- Providing information and resources about college “fit” and how to evaluate schools as the student does the search
- Offering guidance and coaching about presenting your best self to colleges via your application, campus visits and/or interviews.
Additional hours may be purchased on a per hour and space available basis. Comprehensive package clients have first priority in scheduling.
